I see that you&#039;ve also recently started blogging about your own journey to becoming an atheist, and having read through your posts, I think I had it easy.  I&#039;ve been very fortunate that religion has never gotten in the way of my relationships with my family.  My parents (about the same age as your Mom) are still very active in their church, but they pretty much admitted to me that it&#039;s mainly for social reasons these days (ever since they attended a set of Old Testament Bible studies their pastor&#039;s wife was running -- LOL!).
